Challenge
Following its spin-off from Siemens AG, Siemens Energy needed an internal centralised solution to manage HR operations. The aim was to unify all HR processes in a single user-friendly platform empowering equitable HR decisions based on data-driven insights on a global scale.

My Role
Over the past year I led this complex project, working closely with stakeholders and development teams across COIN’s many sub-applications. I focused on building strong relationships within the agile team to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.

Solution
We developed COIN, a scalable HR platform that surfaces data-driven insights within an intuitive design to streamline HR operations. The platform features a unified interface encompassing a variety of sub-applications and workflows. It empowers managers to handle HR tasks independently while giving employees clear visibility into decision-making processes. COIN was designed to enhance transparency and optimise HR efficiency with a focus on ensuring equity and alignment across the organisation.

Data-Driven Decisions
COIN uses real-time data to enable transparent HR decision-making, fostering alignment across global teams while considering regional differences.

The design simplifies complex organisational data structures as the platform adapts to different user roles. It provides custom entry points to streamline workflows for both managers and employees.
Agile Development
COIN was designed in close collaboration with Siemens Energy stakeholders and development teams. We followed an agile project setup prioritising continuous feedback for iterative refinement loops. This ensured the platform was adaptable, scalable, and aligned with Siemens Energy’s evolving HR needs and business goals. Over the past year, I focused on unifying existing designs and establishing a scalable design system to build a strong baseline for future growth.
